The MIDeC International Museum of Ceramic Design - Pottery Civic Collection is housed in the sixteenth-century Perabò Palace in Laveno, a few steps from the shore of Lake Maggiore. The museum and this guide attest to the history of Laveno ceramics and artistic personalities who were the creators: from Andlovitz to Campi, from Biancini to Tofanari, from Saponaro to Costantini and Leonor Fini.
The MIDeC collection retraces the stylistic evolution of the decorative arts from the middle of the nineteenth century to the beginning of the third millennium. The visitor will be able to admire vases, tableware, tea and room sets, sculptures and panels, evidence of the high artistic level of the works produced in 150 years.
