This volume relates the story of a family, their house and their architects during the second half of the twentieth century. The Finzi family, curious and innovative, international professionals, called upon Piero Bottoni (1903-1973) to design the furniture and headquarters for the family company. The Finzi commissions became a significant sample of that historic time.
Following the work done by Bottoni, the Finzi house became the theatre for Franca Helg, Vito and Gustavo Latis and Giovanna Franco Repellini who later updated the character of the house in harmony with successive generations of Finzis.
This book allows us to recreate several episodes from the season of modern architecture in the 1930s and 1940s regarding the planning and production of furniture and furnishings in series that formed the basis for the first concept of Milan Design, propagating a style, a way of life and a fashion.
