Recursions and Mutations

Recursions and Mutations nasce dall’intuizione di Jacob Hashimoto di realizzare una mostra che prenda in esame alcuni processi di reiterazione e cambiamento nella pratica artistica. Per farlo, Hashimoto ha deciso di confrontarsi direttamente con alcuni tra i suoi colleghi con cui questo dialogo potesse crescere, grazie soprattutto alla stima reciproca. Partendo da questa modalità squisitamente relazionale, la mostra è il risultato delle interazioni tra Vincenzo Castella, Lynn Davis, Jacob Hashimoto e Roberto Pugliese: questi artisti hanno scelto di lavorare insieme a questo progetto condiviso, in cui il dialogo ha avuto un ruolo rilevante.

Recursions and Mutations has arisen from Jacob Hashimoto’s intuition: to create an exhibition that examines processes of reiteration and change in artistic practice. To do this, Hashimoto decided to directly confront himself with three other artists whom, thanks to mutual respect, this dialogue could advance. This exquisitely relational way of working has led to the result of the interaction between Vincenzo Castella, Lynn Davis, Jacob Hashimoto and Roberto Pugliese: these artists have chosen each other deliberately identifying, in the creative process, their common denominator.
