Imago Art Gallery di Londra rende omaggio a Giorgio Morandi con una mostra che, a distanza di quarant’anni da quella tenutasi presso la Royal Accademy nel 1970, e dopo quasi un decennio dalla Tate Modern, ripropone al pubblico inglese e internazionale una riflessione sul percorso artistico del grande artista bolognese, attraverso una ventina di lavori.

Il volume edito per l’occasione presenta le opere in mostra, accompagnate da una selezione di esempi e passaggi significativi tratti dai testi critici che hanno brillantemente descritto l'opera del Maestro nel passato: Cesare Brandi, Lamberto Vitali, Francesco Arcangeli, Jean Leymarie, Andrew Forge, Marilena Pasquali, Achille Bonito Oliva.

Imago Art Gallery in London celebrates the work of Giorgio Morandi with an exhibition which, some forty years after the one hosted at the Royal Academy in 1970, and almost one decade after the one at the Tate Modern, presents to the British and international public a reflexion on the creative journey of the great Bolognese artist, through some twenty works. This book presents the works from the show, along with a selection of examples and significant abstracts from previously published critical essays from Cesare Brandi, Lamberto Vitali, Francesco Arcangeli, Jean Leymarie, Andrew Forge, Marilena Pasquali, Achille Bonito Oliva.
