Abstract

The volume investigates the concept of difference and repetition in Giorgio Morandi (Bologna, 1890-1964) and Vincenzo Agnetti (Milan, 1926-1981), two artists of unquestionable centrality in the history of contemporary art.
The combination of two protagonists so different and refined, which at first glance might appear risky, reveals a brilliant and surprising solidity, giving rise to a peculiar dialogue between two masters distant by age and poetically, yet close in their research and expressive drive - one through still lifes, the other through interventions on language.
The volume, introduced by a critical text by the curator, is completed by biographical apparatus.
