Abstract

A woman, her life in a location that she will soon have to abandon. Silvia Celeste Calcagno arranges fragments of everyday life in a site-specific installation of remarkable intensity. A room, quintessentially interior, in which the items, images and memories suggest the traces of a suspended existence. In this stream of photos featuring objects and episodes from the near and more distant past, the artist, an evanescent presence, observes herself, evoking a condition that from personal becomes universal.
