This volume introduces readers to the heritage works of the Unipol Group.
The history of the Group’s companies dates back nearly two hundred years and is indissolubly entwined with the evolution of the Italian nation, to whose development they have contributed economically, socially, and culturally.
The acquisition of works of art over the years is intimately linked to the four cities (Milan, Florence, Turin and Bologna) that have hosted the principal activities. This helps to explain the great richness and variety of the collection, whose works provide a glimpse into the peculiar characteristics and evolution of what – from one decade to another – has been perceived as “contemporary.”
Among the artists present in the collection we find: Umberto Boccioni, Alberto Savinio, Mario Sironi, Lucio Fontana, Carlo Levi, Ennio Morlotti, Alberto Burri, Francesco Lo Savio, Franco Angeli, Mario Schifano, Paolo Icaro, Giuseppe Spagnulo, and Mimmo Paladino.
