Olive Trees

Jacques Berthet has long been interested in the olive tree. He presents his photographs here, like so many stages of an almost initiatory journey started in 2006. Favoring black and white to get closer to sculpture, or drawing, the author has been able to capture in each of his pictures the singularity of this tree, at the same time giving us the universality that it transmits. Size, culture, harvest, transmission, threat and future are all elements of the history of this mythical tree that the author lets us discover.
