This book is dedicated to the award-winning cinematographic costume designer Massimo Cantini Parrini, of whom his latest extraordinary work is presented: over thirty costumes created for the film "Pinocchio" by Matteo Garrone, released in cinemas in December 2019.
The texts and the interview gathered in these pages tell about the designer, his work and his sources of inspiration, including historic clothing from the 18th and 19th centuries from his extraordinary personal collection. The section dedicated to the stage costumes of the main characters of the film follows, accompanied by insights on the stylistic choices, aging treatments and other curiosities.
