"The atmosphere in which are immersed the persons and things in the series of Sergio Vacchi is highly important for the painting, almost as though it constituted the “breeding ground”. In this, his attitude and his research seem to be “pre-linguistic”, they enter into an area of the subconscious that precedes any separation of languages into well-defined territories, such as art, literature, and cinema."
