Abstract

Carlo Ramous (1926–2003), sculptor and painter, exhibited his first work in 1946, and in 1956 the ‘Il Milione’ Gallery, in Milan, devoted the first, solo exhibition to the artist. Since this initial exhibit, critics have always been interested in his work. The volume collects some excerpts from the critiques published over time, offering a critical path of the artistic evolution of Carlo Ramous, from the first anthropomorphic terracotta sculptures, whose creation was coupled with paintings that depicted the human figure, to the abstract phase of the 1950s, up to the last years characterised by more geometric sculptures and brightly coloured paintings.
