For over thirty years Arte Sella has been synonymous with art in nature: a unique creative workshop in Italy and the world, where art has woven a continuous dialogue with the surprising nature of Val di Sella, a Valsugana side valley, in the Trentino region.
On October 29, 2018, the storm Vaia struck these places, knocking down in a matter of seconds the forest on the southern slopes of Mount Armentera, along which the ArteNatura route harmoniously meandered. Despite the dismay caused by the event, there is a strong awareness of how urgent a reflection on the coexistence of man and nature is, and how art can continue to play an important role in this context. Arte Sella is the harbinger of the message through this book, which collects the images of ten great photographers to document this calamity.
