Stretch Art Beyond the Limit of Architecture

This catalogue documents the site-specific works created between 2018 and 2021 by the artists Bianco-Valente, Mariangela Levita and Monica Bonvicini on the façade of the celebrated building designed by Gio Ponti for the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm. Asked to engage with, if not interpret the body and soul of Ponti’s design, the artists, each with their own modus operandi, created an art work on an art work altering the perception of the building and surpassing the “limits of architecture”.
