The catalogue is an attempt to collect and arrange an enormous amount of documentary material on the articulated work of the Ivorian artist Frédéric Bruly Bouabré, in which the artist’s pictorial work carried out using his particular techniques and media stand out, a production that gained him worldwide fame and allowed him to exhibit in major international museums and events.
The rich photographic collection dedicated to painting and to the main themes of Bouabré’s fifty-year artistic career, such as La Connaissance du Monde, is complemented by critical and bio-bibliographic components that allow the reader to discover even the lesser-known aspects characterising the Bouabré’s works, such as those related to his scientific and ethnographic research, as well as the literary productions.
