Designed by Andrea Rossi Andrea Ground Plane Antenna, the collections Standing Wave Ratio Works are book-artworks documenting the complexities of an artistic work, which they themselves are part of, always implied in the ground plane antenna (a device for irradiating and detecting electromagnetic waves), antenna-sign, as an inseparable core of poetics in which media, disciplines, languages, skills, roles and much more renew themselves continually and take on new meanings. Here too, in an unstoppable rhythm befitting his funky/free-jazz vein, the artist reflects upon the fluid nature of communication, leading pupils, teachers and audience to question themselves on the codes utilized, the use of language and, above all, on control over the uttered word.
