This book is an introduction to four years of published research essays in the online journal Les Cahiers: Journal for the Study of Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape. It is divided into thematic sections, such as “Migration and Exile among Architects, Urbanists and Landscape Architects in the Modern Era”, “The Architect’s Office (18th–21st Century)”, “Thinking about Architecture through Resources”. The thirteen opening articles summarize the work of contributing researchers and provide direct references (QR codes) to the online publication. This compendium offers an overview of this work and indicates the direction of travel of current research, with a particular focus on bridging disciplinary boundaries.
