Nine large sculptures summarise the evolution of the formal language of Riccardo Cordero’s works over the last twenty years and allow a vision that has never before been so integrated and intimate, exploring the details of the structures from different angles.
At the same time, their location in the Gardens of the Reggia di Venaria offers visitors the chance to follow their transformations step by step over the seasons and to witness the real life of the sculptures in a context that changes day by day, in different lights and in the constant and progressive variation of nature: the autumn colours with their multicoloured foliage, the whiteness of the snow on clear winter days, the announcement of springtime by the blossoming of the cherry trees, followed by the awakening of the buds on the trees through to the rebirth of the green in the meadows, hedgerows and plants that bring the whole of nature to life, heralding the subsequent summer heat of these spectacular and regal Gardens.
