On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and within the framework of the campaign promoted by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Italy is presenting a contemporary art exhibition at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. For the event, the works of sixteen Italian artists from different generations have been selected, which can implicitly evoke themes related to human rights. The artists include: Stefano Arienti, Rossella Biscotti, Monica Bonvicini, Danilo Correale, Binta Diaw, Irene Dioniso, Victor Fotso Nyie, Silvia Giambrone, Emilio Isgrò, Mimmo Jodice, Elena Mazzi, Francis Offman, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Rä di Martino, Silvia Rosi, Marinella Senatore. This volume aims to foster reflection on the topic of the deep-seated relationship between art and society, exploring its development and the potential that is intrinsic in artistic creation seeking to promote the protection of human rights, starting with the attempt to stop every kind of violence and discrimination.
